Alfa Laval

6,000m² headquarters

Alfa Laval is an 6.000m2 office domicile with associated parking facilities, placed on the eastern waterfront in Aalborg, Denmark. It is build around an atrium, which gives a dynamic gathering space for different events and at the same time gives an impressive effect when you enter the building.

The building is constructed in four storeys. The opposite side of the entrance is turned towards the sea – so the employee-bridges, which function as café-area for the employees, have sea view. From here you can oversee the entire interior of the building.

The offices are placed on the three remaining sides. About 80% are open office facilities while the rest is single cell-offices. These have a double function as they also function as conferencerooms, as the employees travel a lot.

The house is built as low-energy house 2015, using solarpanels and solar blinds to reduce energy consumption. Besides, the house has received a diploma for sustainability – A DNGB- Silver certification. This means, that all materials chosen and all processes must be traceable back to the producer and be made with sustainable materials.
